We need to find the total number of throws during the entire camp of 15 days, which means we need to find 𝑺_𝟏𝟓 We know Sn = 𝑛/2 (2a + (n – 1)d) Putting n = 15, a = 40, d = 12 Sn = 𝟏𝟓/𝟐 (2 × 40 + (15 – 1) × 12) Sn = 15/2 (80 + 14 × 12) Sn = 15/2 (80 + 168) Sn = 𝟏𝟓/𝟐 × 248 Sn = 15 × 124 Sn = 1,860 Therefore, Sanjitha did 1860 throws during the entire camp of 15 days.
