A quadrilateral PQRS is drawn to circumscribe a circle. If PQ = 12 cm, QR = 15 cm and RS = 14 cm, then find the length of SP is

(a) 15 cm                          (b) 14 cm

(c) 12 cm                          (d) 11 cm

From Ex 10.2, 8 – Chapter 10 Class 10 In a quadrilateral circumscribing the circle, Sum of opposite sides is equal Thus, in quadrilateral PQRS PQ + SR = PS + QR 12 + 14 = PS + 15 26 − 15 = PS 11 = PS PS = 11 Hence, PS = 11 cm So, the correct answer is (d)
