• Lack of internal democracy : Many political parties do not follow democratic principles within their organisation. They do not have regular elections, transparent functioning, or consultation with members. The power is concentrated in the hands of a few leaders or a single family. This affects the accountability and responsiveness of the parties to the people.
  
  
• Money and muscle powe r: Many political parties rely on money and muscle power to win elections and influence policies. They use illegal or unethical means to raise funds, bribe voters, or intimidate opponents. They also give tickets to candidates who have criminal backgrounds or wealth. This affects the quality and credibility of the representatives and the policies.

• Dynastic succession: Many political parties are controlled by a single family or a few individuals, who pass on their leadership to their relatives or loyalists. This creates a culture of nepotism and favouritism within the parties, where merit and performance are ignored. This affects the quality and diversity of the leaders and representatives, as they may not be competent or representative of the people.
