Ex 6.1, 2 (i) Calculate, correct to 3 significant figures, the circumference of a circle with: (i) radius 7 cm. Radius = r = 7 cm Circumference = 2πœ‹r = 2 Γ— 𝟐𝟐/πŸ• Γ— 7 = 2 Γ— 22/1 Γ— 1 = 44 cm ∴ Circumference of circle is 44 cm Ex 6.1, 2 (ii) Calculate, correct to 3 significant figures, the circumference of a circle with: (ii) radius 10 cm. Radius = r = 10 cm Circumference = 2πœ‹r = 2 Γ— 𝟐𝟐/πŸ• Γ— 10 = 440/7 = 62.857 cm ∴ Circumference of circle is 62.857 cm Ex 6.1, 2 (iii) Calculate, correct to 3 significant figures, the circumference of a circle with: (iii) radius 12 cm. Radius = r = 12 cm Circumference = 2πœ‹r = 2 Γ— 𝟐𝟐/πŸ• Γ— 12 = 528/7 = 75.428 cm ∴ Circumference of circle is 75.428 cm
