Area of Square & RectangleArea is the amount of paint used to completely paint the shape The amount of paint used to fill in the shape is the Area of the Shape Area of RectangleLet’s take a rectangle With length l, breadth b Now, Area of rectangle = l × b Let’s take an example Find area of rectangle with length 10 m & breadth 15 m Length = l = 10 m Breadth = b = 15 m Area of rectangle = l × b = 10 × 15 = 150 sq. m = 150 m2 Area of SquareLet’s take a square With side a, Now, Area of square = a × a = a2 Let’s take an example Find area of square with side 2 m Side of square = a = 2 m Area of square = a × a = 2 × 2 = 4 square m = 4 𝒎^𝟐
