The Indus river valley

3. Named for a site
The first one found
Example:
Harappan Civilisation
- It grew along the plains of two rivers: the Sindhu (Indus) and the Sarasvati .
- Civilisations grow near rivers, because rivers give water, fertile soil and a route for trade .
