Pollination

The process of transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma is known as pollination. Pollination is carried by a variety of different agents like wind, water, insects, animals etc. It can be of two types:

1. Self Pollination

The process of transfer of pollen grains from the anther to stigma of the same flower is known as self pollination.

It is seen in bisexual flowers which contain both stamen amd pistil. Eg. Hibiscus
