What is the meaning of development? Explain the two aspects of development.

 Development may be defined as-

  1. Development means change for the better/ progress over a period of time. It comprises social , political, economic, and cultural elements or issues.
  2. All economies- developed or developing aim at development i.e. quality education , medical care, nutritive food , and better living conditions to improve the quality of life of people.

Aspects of Development

  • Different persons can have different  developmental goals.   
  • People have conflicting goals . What may be development for one may not  be development for the other. It may even be  destructive for others.
