Reason (R): Kerala has adequate provision of basic health and esucation facilities.

Kerala indicates a high level of human development and low infant mortality rate compared to Haryana, in spite of a lower per capita income. This is because Kerala has the adequate provision of basic health and education facilities, availability of a clean environment , and a strong PDS system .


  • Assertion (A): Kerala has a low infant mortality rate. This is true
  • Reasoning (R): t Kerala has adequate provisions for basic health and educational facilities.This is true.
  • Because it has adequate provisions for health and education, thus, it has low infact mortality rate.  So, this is the correct explanation for assertion


  • Assertion is true.
  • Reason is true.
  • And, the reasoning is the correct explanation of assertion.

So, the correct answer is (a).
