- Take a small quantity of Food items or Raw Ingredients like rice or potato .
- Put 2 to 3 drops of dilute iodine solution on it.
- Observe any changes on the food items.
- If the item changes its color to black or blue.
- Black and blue color indicates that it contains starch .
