In this chapter we will learn about food and where does it come from i.e. the source through which we obtain various food items. 

We will learn that there are two basic sources from which we, humans and other animals obtain our food and that are plants and animals.

We will also learn about the categories among which humans and animals are distributed on the basis of the food items they consume

These categories are -

  • Herbivores - Who only consume food through plant sources. Eg. Deer, Rabbit
  • Carnivores - Who only consume other animals as their food. Eg. Lion, Tiger
  • Omnivores - Who consume food through a combination of both animal and plant sources. Eg. Humans, Dogs
