Political Science is the study of government or the types of leadership that exist for the smooth functioning of a country. One needs to understand the rules and regulations that exist in a country and this subject will teach you why these rules exist and who is responsible for their creation and regulation. You will learn about political science in each class of your secondary school i.e. from Class 6 to Class 10.

Class X - Democratic Politics II  will focus on the in - depth study of a democratic rule. After learning about the implementation of democracy, you will finally learn about the challenges that are faced by it and how the government overcomes these challenges. You will also get to know about various political struggles and movements that occured in India.

In Unit 1, the focus will be on the concept of federalism and how power is shared among various people in a democracy.

Unit 2 will teach you about the diversity that India has in the aspects of gender, religion and castes and how the people in power take decisions that do not discriminate against any such group.

In Unit III, the focus will be upon various political struggles and movements that took place in India and how various political parties emerged through these movements.

Finally, in Unit IV, you will learn about the challenges that are faced by the ruling government and how the government overcomes these challenges.
