How do Living Organisms get Food?

We know that Living Organisms are of 2 types

  • Plants
  • Animals(Including Humans)

 

Plants

They make their own food(by process called Photosynthesis)

 

Animals(Including Human beings)

They do not make their own food               

They get food from plants (Example- Horse eat grass)

Some of animals get their food by eating other animals (Example - Tiger eats deer)

 

How do Human Beings get food?

They get food from

  • Plants(We eat fruits and vegetables)
  • Other Animals(Some of us eat chicken or fish)

Growing of Crops by Human Beings

 

Till 10000 BC

People were nomadic (They moved from place to place in search of foods)

They ate raw foods and vegetables

 

Later

They started cultivating land and growing crops

Like rice, wheat, corn.

Thus agriculture was born
