Question 14 List the elements of a sample space for the simultaneous tossing of a coin and drawing of a card from a set of 6 cards numbered 1 through 6. Let’s toss a coin and select a card numbered 1 to 6 Now, When a coin is tossed, possible results are Heads (H) or Tails (T) When a card is selected, the number on the card could bedie is rolled, possible results are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Since they are together We have to pair every number on the card with every side of the coin For example: getting a 1 card and getting Heads (1H), getting a 1 card and getting Tails (1T), and so on Thus, our Sample Space is S = {1H, 1T, 2H, 2T, 3H, 3T, 4H, 4T, 5H, 5T, 6H, 6T}
