Tree Diagrams WHAT IS A TREE DIAGRAM? A visual representation to list ALL possible outcomes of a multi-step experiment. A multi-step experiment (like tossing a coin twice, or rolling dice multiple times) involves independent trials. Branches represent outcomes and split for subsequent events. When you are dealing with a single event (like tossing one coin), listing the outcomes is easy. But when you have a multi-step experiment (like tossing a coin, then rolling a die, then drawing a card), things get complicated quickly. A tree diagram is basically a visual map that helps you track every single possible path an experiment can take, ensuring you don't miss any outcomes WHY USE THEM? VISUALIZING OUTCOMES: Each path represents a complete outcome. LISTING SAMPLE SPACE: See all possible total outcomes. PRACTICAL CALCULATION The path is proborelita or oincom for the path.
