Question 38 (iii) (B) Find the total capacity of one silo to store grains.Total capacity of silo is total volume Now, Total capacity = Volume of cone + Volume of Cylinder = 1/3 𝜋 (𝑅𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑢𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑒)^2 × 𝐻𝑒𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑒 + 𝜋(𝑅𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑢𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑦𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟)^2 × 𝐻𝑒𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑦𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 = 𝟏/𝟑 𝝅 × (𝟏.𝟓)^𝟐 × 𝟐+𝝅 × (𝟏.𝟓)^𝟐 × 𝟕 = 𝜋 × (1.5)^2 [1/3× 2+7] = 22/7× (3/2)^2 [(2 + 7 × 3)/3] = 22/7× (3/2)^2 [(2 + 21)/3] = 22/7× (3/2)^2 [23/3] = 22/7×3/2 ×3/2 ×23/3 = 11/7×1/1 ×3/2 ×23/1 = 759/14 = 54.21 m3
