Define the term brisk effervescence.

  • The word brisk means fast or rapid and the word e fflorescence means formation of bubbles in the liquid. 
  • Therefore, brisk effervescence can be defined as the rapid evolution of gas which can be seen in the form of bubbles during a chemical reaction.
  • The gas liberated is carbon dioxide .
