Carbon compounds find a wide variety of uses in our day to day life. Some of which are given below:

  • 18% of the human body is made up of carbon and all the food we eat gives us energy in the form of carbon compounds for example glucose .

 

  • Plants take in Carbon dioxide during the process of photosynthesis in order to make food.

  • We also use the allotropes of carbon in everyday life like diamond is used in jewelry and our pencil leads are made from graphite.
