Past Perfect Continuous Tense

It is used to tell about things which continue to happen over a long period of time in history.

Example

  • Trains had been running late since the last one month
  • She had been taking precautions since last week
  • In this case,we use " had been " + verb+ing  with the verbs(both singular and plural)
