Class 7
Chapter 8 Class 7 - Measurement of Time and Motion (Curiosity)
  • Motion of an object along a straight line is called linear motion .
  • Imagine a train between stations A and D.
  • From A to B, it speeds up — speed keeps changing.
  • From B to C, it moves at constant speed.
  • From C to D, it slows down — speed keeps changing.

Two Types of Linear Motion

  • Uniform linear motion
The object moves in a straight line at constant speed .
The train is in uniform motion between B and C.
  • Non-uniform linear motion
The object's speed keeps changing .
    The train's motion between A and B, and C and D, is non-uniform.

📋 NCERT Question 6
