Chapter 8 Class 7 - Measurement of Time and Motion (Curiosity)

A simple pendulum has three parts.

  • Rigid support
    A fixed point from which the pendulum hangs.
  • Long thread
    It connects the bob to the rigid support.
  • Bob
    A small heavy ball at the end of the thread.

The pendulum at rest is in its mean position . When the bob is moved sideways and released, it starts oscillatory motion .
