Class 7
Chapter 8 Class 7 - Measurement of Time and Motion (Curiosity)

Question. A train is travelling at a speed of 90 km/h. How much time will it take to cover a distance of 360 km?

Solution.

Use the formula: Time = Distance ÷ Speed

$$\begin{aligned} \text{Time taken} &= \frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Speed}} \\[8pt] &= \frac{360 \text{ km}}{90 \text{ km/h}} \\[8pt] &= 4 \text{ h} \end{aligned}$$

The train will take 4 hours to cover 360 km.
