Class 7
Chapter 8 Class 7 - Measurement of Time and Motion (Curiosity)

Question. Raghav is going to a neighbouring city in a bus moving at a speed of 50 km/h. If it takes him 2 h to reach that city, how far is that city?

Solution.

Use the formula: Distance = Speed × Time

$$\begin{aligned} \text{Distance covered} &= \text{Speed} \times \text{Time} \\[8pt] &= 50 \text{ km/h} \times 2 \text{ h} \\[8pt] &= 100 \text{ km} \end{aligned}$$

The neighbouring city is 100 km away.
