Question 36 (iii) - Choice (A) Find the sum of first 10 terms of the progression written by Aryan.First AP by Aryan is –5, –2, 1, 4, …. Here, First term = a = –5 Common difference = d = 3 We know that Sum of AP = 𝒏/𝟐 (2a + (n – 1) d) Putting a = –5, d = 3, n = 10 Sum = 𝟏𝟎/𝟐 (2 × (–5) + (10 – 1) × 3) = 5(–10 + 9 × 3) = 5 (–10 + 27) = 5 (27 – 10) = 5 (17) = 85
