Question 37 (ii) (ii) If DP = 50 cm and PE = 70 cm then find 𝑃𝑄/𝐸𝐹.Since Ξ” DPQ ~ Ξ” DEF And, we know that Sides of similar triangles are proportional Therefore, 𝑫𝑷/𝑫𝑬=𝑷𝑸/𝑬𝑭 Since we know DP and PE, putting DE = DP + PE 𝐷𝑃/(𝐷𝑃 + 𝑃𝐸)=𝑃𝑄/𝐸𝐹 Putting DP = 50 cm and PE = 70 cm 50/(50 + 70)=𝑃𝑄/𝐸𝐹 50/120=𝑃𝑄/𝐸𝐹 5/12=𝑃𝑄/𝐸𝐹 𝑷𝑸/𝑬𝑭=πŸ“/𝟏𝟐
