The Tamil Nadu coast receives winter rainfall.

 

Answer:

  • Tamil Nadu is located on India's eastern coast. South India typically receives rain from the southwest monsoons. 
  • However, the southwest monsoon from the Arabian Sea is obstructed by the Western Ghats. 
  • As a result, during the winter season, Tamil Nadu receives the majority of its rain from the northeast and retreating monsoons.
