  • Menarche is marked by the first occurrence of menstruation when a girl reaches puberty .
  • Menstruation or menstrual flow occurs due to breakdown and removal of the inner, thick and soft lining known as the endometrium of the uterus along with its blood vessels. It occurs if an ovum is released from the ovary and does not get fertilized during ovulation.This cycle occurs after 14 days of ovulation .
  • Menopause is the permanent halting of menstruation which usually occurs in the women of 45-50 years of age . Therefore, menopause marks the end of reproductive life of a woman
