Question (d) Find the sums and differences: (d) 7 7/100−4 4/100These are mixed fractions, converting them into normal fractions 7 7/100=(7 × 100 + 7)/100=𝟕𝟎𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎 4 4/100=(4 × 100 + 4)/100=𝟒𝟎𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Now, finding difference 𝟕𝟎𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎− 𝟒𝟎𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Since denominator is same, we subtract numerator 𝟕𝟎𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎− 𝟒𝟎𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =(707 − 404)/100 (Note: It is not 44/100 but 404/100) (Note: It is not 77/100 but 707/100) =𝟑𝟎𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =(300 + 3)/100 =300/100+3/100 =3+3/100 =𝟑 𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎
