Question (c) Find the sums and differences: (c) 15 6/10 4/100+14 3/10 6/100 These are mixed fractions, converting them into normal fractions 15 6/10 4/100=15+6/10+4/100=(15 × 100 + 6 × 10 + 4)/100=𝟏𝟓𝟔𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 14 3/10 6/100=14+3/10+6/100=(14 × 100 + 3 × 10 + 6)/100=𝟏𝟒𝟑𝟔/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Now, adding 𝟏𝟓𝟔𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 and 𝟏𝟒𝟑𝟔/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Since denominator is same, we add numerator 𝟏𝟓𝟔𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 +𝟏𝟒𝟑𝟔/𝟏𝟎𝟎=(1564 + 1436)/100 =𝟑𝟎𝟎𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =𝟑𝟎
