Question (a) Find the sums and differences: (a) 3/10+3 4/100These are mixed fractions, converting them into normal fractions 3/10=3/10 ×10/10=𝟑𝟎𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎 3 4/100=3+4/100=(3 × 100 + 4)/100=𝟑𝟎𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Now, adding 𝟑𝟎𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎 and 𝟑𝟎𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Since denominator is same, we add numerator 𝟑𝟎𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎 +𝟑𝟎𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎=(300 + 304)/100 =𝟔𝟎𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =(600 + 2)/100 =600/100+4/100 =6+4/100 =𝟔 𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎
