Question (b) Find the sums and differences: (b) 9 5/10 7/100+2 1/10 3/100These are mixed fractions, converting them into normal fractions 9 5/10 7/100=9+5/10+7/100=(9 × 100 + 5 × 10 + 7)/100=𝟗𝟓𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎 2 1/10 3/100=2+1/10+3/100=(2 × 100 + 1 × 10 + 3)/100=𝟐𝟏𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Now, adding 𝟗𝟓𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎 and 𝟐𝟏𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎 Since denominator is same, we add numerator 𝟗𝟓𝟕/𝟏𝟎𝟎 +𝟐𝟏𝟑/𝟏𝟎𝟎=(957 + 213)/100 =𝟏𝟏𝟕𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟎 =(1100 + 70)/100 =1100/100+70/100 =11+7/10 =𝟏𝟏 𝟕/𝟏𝟎
