Question 14 (d) Write the decimal forms of the quantities mentioned (an example is given): (d) 25 tens, 25 ones, 25 tenths, and 25 hundredths Number = 25 × 10 + 25 × 1 + 25 × 1/10 + 25 × 1/100 = 250 + 25 + 𝟐𝟓/𝟏𝟎 + 𝟐𝟓/𝟏𝟎𝟎 = 275 + (𝟐𝟓/𝟏𝟎+𝟐𝟓/𝟏𝟎𝟎) = 275 + (25 × 10 + 25)/100 = 275 + (250 + 25)/100 = 275 + 𝟐𝟕𝟓/𝟏𝟎𝟎 = (275 × 100 + 275)/100 = (27500 + 275)/100 = (27775 )/100 = 277.75
