Sound is an energy
Just like other energy like muscular energy, kinetic energy etc, sound is also an energy
Law of Conservation of Energy applies to sound also
When energy changes form from one form to other but total energy remains constant
Example When we clap,we produce a sound, This is because muscular energy of our hands transfer to sound energy
Sounds must travel through a medium
Medium means a matter or substance through which sound travels. It can be solid, liquid or gas
Sound normally travels through air, However it can also travel through liquids and solids
Note - Sound does not travel through vacuum (as it is not a medium)
Sound is a Wave
Sound travels in to and fro motion (moves left and right)
It is produced through vibration of different objects
