Question 2 - Page 170 What do you think is the area of the tabletop that you use at school or at home? You could perhaps try to visualise how many A4 sheets can fit on your table.Let's measure a standard school tabletop. A standard student desk is generally 60 cm in length and 45 cm in width. Let’s Calculate its Area Area of Tabletop = Area of Rectangle = 60 × 45 = 2700 cm2 Visualizing using A4 Sheets To visualize this using A4 sheets, divide the total area of the table by the area of a single A4 sheet. " Number of sheets "=(2700〖" " cm〗^2)/(623.7〖" " cm〗^2 ) = 𝟒.𝟑𝟐 (approx.) Thus, a standard desk has an area of roughly 𝟐𝟕𝟎𝟎〖" " 𝐜𝐦〗^𝟐. This means you could fit exactly 𝟒 full A4 sheets on the desk, with a little bit of room left over.
