Question 1 Identify the missing sidelengths.Here, from area of rectangle formula we need to find sides Let’s mark the rectangles and do this one by one We start with Rectangle II Rectangle II Area = Length × Width 21 = 7 × Width 21/7 = Width 3 = Width Width = 3 inch Rectangle I Now, Width = 4 + 3 = 7 in So, Area = Length × Width 28 = Length × 7 28/7 = Length 4 = Length Length = 4 inch Rectangle III Now, Length = 3 + 4 = 7 in So, Area = Length × Width 35 = 7 × Width 35/7 = Width 5 = Width Width = 5 inch Rectangle IV Now, Width = 5 + 2 = 7 in So, Area = Length × Width 14 = Length × 7 14/7 = Length 2 = Length Length = 2 inch So, missing value is 2 inches Question 1 Identify the missing sidelengths.We start with Rectangle I Rectangle I Area = Length × Width 29 = Length × 4 29/4 = Length 7.25 = Length Length = 7.25 m Rectangle II Area = Length × Width 11 = Length × 4 11/4 = Length 2.75 = Length Length = 2.75 m Rectangle III Now, Length = Length of Rectangle I = 7.25 m So, Area = Length × Width 10 = 7.25 × Width 10 = 29/4 × Width 10 × 4/29 = Width 1.379 = Width Width = 1.379 m
