Question 6 A car runs 16 km using 1 litre of petrol. How far will it go using 2 3/4 litres of petrol? First, letβs convert our mixed fraction into normal fraction π π/π =2+3/4 =(2 Γ 4 + 3)/4 =(8 + 3)/4 =ππ/π Now, On 1 liter of petrol, car runs = 16 km On ππ/π liters of petrol, car runs = 16 Γ ππ/π km = (16 Γ 11)/4 = (4 Γ 11)/1 = 44 km Therefore, the car will go 44 km.
