Sample paper-02 class-XII .png

True or False: The narrator of the story is a young boy named Franz who loves going to school.

Answer as written by the student:

The above statement is False

Step-by-Step explanation of the answer:

To answer this question, we need to read the extract carefully and understand the character of the narrator. We can use clues from the text, such as his words, actions, and thoughts, to infer his personality and attitude towards school.

For example, the extract says: “He is especially anxious on this day, as he expects his stern teacher, M. Hamel, to question him and the rest of the pupils on participles. The narrator knows nothing about participles, as he has not learned the lesson.” This shows us that he is a lazy and careless student who does not study his lessons well. He also fears his teacher and does not like him. The extract also says: “The narrator contemplates skipping school altogether and spending the day outside.” This shows us that he does not enjoy going to school and prefers to play outside. Therefore, we can conclude that he does not love going to school.
