Example 20, Let U = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10} and A = {1, 3, 5, 7,9}. Find A′. We need to find A', i.e. complement of set A Now, A′ = U – A = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10} – {1, 3, 5, 7,9} To find difference between sets, we remove elements of 2nd set from 1st set. So, we remove 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 from the first set = {2, 4, 6, 8,10 }.
