Steps of Photosynthesis

  1. Leaves have tiny pores called stomata
  2. These help take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen .
  3. Green leaves have a colour pigment called chlorophyll
  4. It helps to capture the sunlight .
  5. The chlorophyll, carbon dioxide, sunlight and water help to synthesise food . This process is called photosynthesis
  6. Since sunlight is required for the process, it only occurs during the day .
