Answer:

(i)  The various steps involved in the process of binary fission are:

  • DNA duplication and nucleus division
  • Cytoplasm division which leads to cell division
  • Two new daughter cells are formed.

(ii) Multicellular organisms are not a random collection of cells

In them, cells are organised into tissues which are further organised into organs

So, simple cell by cell division is impractical and hence, they use complex ways of reproduction.
