What is the physical state of water at:

(a) 250ºC (b) 100ºC ?

Answer

We know that Physical state of water at the temperature 

  • 0° C or less - Ice (Solid) 
  • 0° C to 100° C - Water (Liquid) 
  • 100° C or above - Steam(Gas) 

Thus, according to question

  1. Water at 250° C - Gas
  2. Water At 100° C - Water gets converted into steam. Hence, at 100 C water is a mixture of both liquid and gas.
