As an individual one can contribute and make a difference to the management of forests and wildlife by

  • Using less paper
  • Promoting afforestation
  • Promoting programmes like van mahotsav and drives which encourage growing more trees
  • Not using products made of animal skin

 

(b) water resources

As an individual one can contribute and make a difference to the management of water resources by

  • Not leaving the taps open when not in use
  • Practicing methods like rainwater harvesting to save water
  • Bathing using bucket rather than using a shower

 

 (c) coal and petroleum

As an individual one can contribute and make a difference to the management of coal and petroleum by

  • Maximizing the use of public transport rather than using private vehicle
  • Covering short distances by foot or bicycle
  • Using solar energy to cook food rather than burning coal
