Question 17 If area of quadrant of a circle is 38.5 cm2 then find its diameter (use 𝜋 = 22/7) We know that Area of quadrant = 1/4× Area of circle Area of quadrant = 1/4 × πr2 Putting values 38.5 = 1/4 × 22/7 × r2 385/10 = 1/4 × 22/7 × r2 385/10 × 4/1 × 7/22 = r2 35/10 × 4/1 × 7/2 = r2 35/10 × 2 × 7 = r2 490/10 = r2 49 = r2 r2 = 49 r = √49 r = 7 So, Radius = r = 7cm Diameter = 2r = 2 × 7 = 14 cm
