Question 9 The distance of the point P (3, β4) from the origin is (a) 7 units (b) 5 units (c) 4 units (d) 3 units We need to find distance between point P(3, β4) and Origin O (0, 0) Now, Required Distance = β((π₯_2βπ₯_1 )^2+(π¦_2βπ¦_1 )^2 ) = β((0β3)^2+(0β(β4))^2 ) = β((β3)^2+(4)^2 ) = β(3^2+4^2 ) = β(9+16) = β25 = 5 Therefore, Required Distance = 5 units So, (b) is the correct answer
