Short Circuit

Overloading

Short circuit occurs when live wire comes in contact with neutral wire

Overloading occurs when large amount of current flows through appliances

High amount of current flows through the circuit

Less current flows through the circuit as compared to Short Circuit

Potential difference drops to 0 at point of Short Circuit

Potential difference becomes very low, but not 0
