Does the transfer of energy take place when you push a huge rock with all your might and fail to move it? Where is the energy you spend going?

Answer

Pushing a huge rock.jpeg

When we push a rock, we apply muscular force in order to move it.

According to the law of conservation of energy, energy can’t be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another.

Hence, even though the muscular force we apply does not move the rock, our energy is converted into heat energy due to which our body feels warm.

Energy transformation : Muscular Energy Heat energy
