Let the Number of ₹ 5 coin = x Given that, Number of 2 rupees coin is 3 times as number of 5 rupee coins Number of Rs 2 coins = 3x Number of coins Total Amount Rs 2 Coin 3x2 × 3x = 6x Rs 5 Coin x 5 × x = 5x Total88Given, Total amount Ruby has = ₹ 88 Amount in ₹ 2 coins + Amount in ₹ 5 coins = 88 6x + 5x = 88 11x = 88 x = 88/11 x = 8 Therefore, Number of ₹ 5 coins = x = 8 Number of ₹ 2 coins = 3x = 3 × 8 = 24
