By Baudhāyana-Pythagoras Theorem c2 = a2 + b2 Now, Since the square of the hypotenuse (𝑐^2 ) is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two positive numbers. Because you are adding two positive amounts together to get 𝑐^2,𝑐^2 must be strictly larger than both 𝑎^2 and 𝑏^2. Therefore, 𝒄 must be larger than both 𝑎 and 𝑏.
