Question 10 The badminton coach has planned the training sessions such that the ratio of warm up : play : cool down is 10% : 80% : 10%. If he wants to conduct a training of 90 minutes. How long should each activity be done?We can find 10% of total, and then find 80% by doing 80% = 8 × 10% Finding 10% of total Total time = 90 minutes Thus, 10% of total = 10% × 90 minutes = 10/100 × 90 = 1/10 × 90 = 9 minutes Finding 80% of total Since 10% of total = 9 minutes Thus, 80% of total = 8 × 10% of total = 8 × 9 = 72 minutes Given that warm up : play : cool down ratio is 10% : 80% : 10% Thus, Time spent in warm up = 10% of total = 9 minutes Time spent in play = 80% of total = 72 minutes Time spent in cool down = 10% of total = 9 minutes
