Finding Percentage QuicklyThe Core Concept: We can break down complex percentages into "friendly" numbers. 100% = The whole thing 50% = Half (÷2) 25% = Quarter ( ÷4, or half of a half) 10% = One-tenth (just move the decimal point one step left!) 1% = One-hundredth (move the decimal point two steps left) Once you have these, you can build anything! Need 20%? - Just double your 10% answer Need 5%? = Just halve your 10% answer The Table Solution Let's fill in the blanks using these mental tricks.
